Automation Engineer

Salary: CHF 70’000 - 100’000 per year

Requirements:

• Masters degree in HES/EPF in electronics, industry or equivalent
• Solid skills in industry (PLC)
• Industrial electronics
• Supervision / HMI
• Availability for occasional travel (mainly Europe)
• Fluent French, technical English

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and translate client needs into detailed functional descriptions
• Participate in risk analyses, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and criticality studies
• Develop and program systems (PLC, HMI, supervision)
• Conduct tests and trials at client sites
• Plan and oversee the commissioning of equipment
• Identify and quickly resolve technical anomalies
• Ensure software traceability (version management, backups)
• Contribute to the drafting of project notices and the definition of architectures in a technical expert role in specific areas
• Actively contribute to the analysis of failure modes and their industrial risks
• Enhance the robustness of control-command architectures
• Develop multi-disciplinary solutions
• Focus on the safety and reliability of machines in our research
