Business Analyst IT

Salary: CHF 80’000 - 110’000 per year

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Masters degree is a plus
• Work experience as a Senior Requirements Engineer or similar role
• Strong understanding of software development life cycles
• Technical background in software engineering
• Knowledge of software architecture principles and design
• Familiarity with requirement management tools (e.g., Confluence and JIRA)
• Experience with Agile development practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality
• Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and in a team
• Professional certifications in requirements engineering (e.g., IREB CPRE, IIBA CBAP) are a plus
• Previous experience in healthcare, finance, or e-commerce is advantageous
• English B1-B2 minimum, German is a plus

Responsibilities:

• Lead the requirements engineering process for software development
• Collaborate closely with product owners, stakeholders, and development teams
• Capture customer needs, functional and non-functional requirements
• Conduct requirements workshops and meetings to clarify requirements and resolve conflicts
• Analyze and prioritize requirements, identifying dependencies, conflicts, and gaps
• Develop clear and concise software requirements including use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Work with software architects and designers to ensure alignment between software requirements, architectural decisions, and UX design
• Identify potential risks, issues, and challenges related to requirements
• Propose proper test coverage in collaboration with testing teams
• Align test plans with defined Agile development activities such as sprint planning and backlog refinement
• Contribute to process improvements in requirements engineering
