System Engineer Consultant - PKI

Salary: CHF 100’000 - 135’000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong experience designing and operating PKI solutions in enterprise environments (e.g., Microsoft CA, EJBCA, OpenSSL, Venafi).
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft Security (SCI) certifications are highly desirable.
• Deep understanding of encryption technologies, SSL/TLS, digital signatures, and HSMs.
• Proficiency in scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation of certificate management.
• Solid knowledge of network security, authentication protocols (LDAP, SCEP, OCSP), and hybrid IT environments (on-prem & cloud).
• Fluent in German (written and spoken)

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise PKI infrastructure including CAs, RAs, and related services.
• Operate and maintain certificate lifecycle management for applications, devices, and users.
• Integrate PKI services into enterprise systems (e.g., VPN, SSL/TLS, email encryption) and support HSM-based key protection.
• Automate PKI processes using scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and develop tools for certificate lifecycle tasks.
• Create technical documentation, policies, and provide training to internal teams on PKI operations and best practices.
