Founding QA Engineer

Salary: CHF 40’000 - 70’000 per year

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in software quality assurance and test automation within modern SaaS or platform environments.
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining automated test suites for backend APIs (Python, Pytest, Django, FastAPI) and frontends (TypeScript, React, Playwright).
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test case design, exploratory testing, and regression strategies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, version control (Git/Github), and modern DevOps processes.
• High attention to detail combined with strong communication skills, able to collaborate closely with developers and product teams.

Responsibilities:

• As a QA Engineer at Scalera, you will be responsible for safeguarding quality across our AI-powered procurement platform:
• Analyze requirement specifications and user stories to deliver early, structured quality feedback and shape acceptance criteria before development starts.
• Execute functional, exploratory, and regression testing to ensure stable releases across frontend, backend, and AI workflows.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites covering APIs (Python, Pytest, Django, FastAPI), web UIs (TypeScript, React), and complete end-to-end flows using Playwright.
• Develop manual test cases where needed and translate them into automation pipelines for expanding long-term coverage.
• Track, document, and prioritize defects using issue management tools (e.g., Jira), ensuring transparent communication between engineering and product teams.
• Analyze test results, identify systemic quality risks, and proactively recommend improvements to testing strategies, tooling, and internal processes.
• You will closely collaborate with the CTO, Head of Engineering, product managers, and developers, acting as the quality owner across multiple product modules including document intelligence, matching pipelines, and integration workflows.
