Internship in Machine Learning (m/f)

Salary: CHF 24'000 - 48'000 per year

Requirements:

• Masters degree (or in the process of obtaining one) in computer science, data science, or engineering.
• Very good programming skills in Python and familiarity with at least one common machine learning framework like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX; C++ would be a plus.
• At least one ML project that goes beyond the scope of small lecture projects.
• Knowledge of modern neural architecture, especially in computer vision & graphics and 3D geometry, would be a plus.
• Strong technical interest and willingness to get involved in complex technical issues.
• Team player with a strong commitment to problem solving.
• Good knowledge of English required; German would be a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Review state-of-the-art methods and models applicable to our domain and present them to the team.
• Implement models in a prototypical manner in Python and PyTorch, train them on our custom datasets, and evaluate them.
• Adapt models to our needs through hyperparameter tuning or architectural modifications.
• Support the product team in various ways by contributing to the end-to-end ML lifecycle, such as data generation, pre-processing, and creating experiment pipelines.
• Research suitable tools and frameworks for autonomous coding.
• Collaborate closely with a dedicated product team and receive guidance from ML engineers through regular meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Contribute to the broader ML product lifecycle and, if successful, help integrate models into our final product or prototype.
