Senior Cloud Data Engineer

Salary: CHF 40'000 - 65'000 per year

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in Cloud and Data Engineering, with strong hands-on delivery experience in complex environments.
• Proven expertise in cloud platforms, with AWS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of data engineering and database technologies.
• Solid experience in data pipeline implementation and optimisation within modern cloud data platforms.
• Good understanding of architecture principles and the ability to translate designs into scalable, production-ready solutions.
• Experience supporting cloud migration and data platform transformation initiatives.
• Strong consulting mindset with the ability to work in a hybrid role combining advisory and hands-on delivery.
• Ability to interact with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent level of English; French is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Take hands-on responsibility for the delivery of cloud-based data solutions.
• Drive migration initiatives and ensure the successful implementation and industrialisation of target architectures.
• Design, build, and optimise cloud-native data pipelines with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Translate target architecture into implementable solutions, bridging architecture, data engineering, and cloud infrastructure.
• Lead the completion and stabilisation of pilot/MVP components and ensure readiness for industrialisation and broader deployment.
• Contribute to and support cloud migration initiatives, including data platform transformation and workload onboarding.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines to standardise, automate, and accelerate delivery.
• Manage technical dependencies, resolve blockers, and coordinate engineering activities to ensure execution within tight timelines.
