Data Engineer (Palantir)

Salary: CHF 40'000 - 70'000 per year

Requirements:

• Initial professional experience in Data Engineering as a Junior, e.g. through relevant internships or working student roles; as a Mid-Level, approx. 1–3 years in a permanent role.
• Good to excellent knowledge of Python, ideally with experience in PySpark or Pandas, and highly proficient in SQL.
• Prior experience with Foundry, e.g. Contour, Code Repositories, and Ontology, is a major plus; if not, a strong foundation in data processing and high motivation to learn the Palantir ecosystem.
• Solid basic understanding of relational databases, data architectures, and the challenges of working with distributed systems (Big Data).
• Solution-oriented mindset, strong analytical thinking, and enjoyment of complex datasets and learning new tools.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and scale data pipelines (ETL/ELT) directly within Palantir Foundry, for example via Code Repositories and Pipeline Builder, and integrate data from a wide variety of source systems.
• Help map our data into the Foundry Ontology, making complex business logic tangible and accessible for analysts and end-users.
• Implement health checks, monitor data quality across the entire data lineage process, and ensure that pipelines run stably.
• Write clean, efficient code, primarily in PySpark and SQL, to clean and transform large volumes of data.
• Work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and business departments to translate their requirements into functioning data models within Foundry.
