AI Software Engineer Intern – Securities Settlement Migration

Salary: CHF 55'000 - 75'000 per year

Requirements:

• Masters degree student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong foundations in software engineering, algorithms, and object-oriented design
• Good programming skills in Java or a comparable language
• Knowledge of LLMs, Generative AI, or AI development frameworks
• Understanding of distributed systems and backend application development
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to navigate and understand large existing codebases
• Interest in financial systems and enterprise-scale applications
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team
• Curiosity, autonomy, and a passion for learning
• Residence in Switzerland or willingness to relocate

Responsibilities:

• Leverage AI and LLM-based techniques to analyze, document, and understand large legacy codebases
• Reverse-engineer business processes and technical workflows, transforming implicit knowledge into structured technical specifications
• Design and prototype solutions that transition batch-oriented processes toward service-oriented and event-driven architectures
• Develop automation tools that accelerate analysis, migration, and validation activities
• Build automated test frameworks to ensure functional correctness and operational reliability
• Improve observability through metrics, monitoring, logging, and tracing capabilities
• Contribute to architecture reviews and technical discussions with senior engineers and software architects
