Internship - AI Software Engineer

Salary: CHF 55'000 - 75'000 per year

Requirements:

• Masters degree student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong foundations in software engineering, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Good programming skills in Java or a comparable language.
• Knowledge of LLMs, Generative AI, or AI development frameworks.
• Understanding of distributed systems and backend application development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to navigate and understand large existing codebases.
• Interest in financial systems and enterprise-scale applications.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Curiosity, autonomy, and a passion for learning.
• Residence in Switzerland or willingness to relocate

Responsibilities:

• Leverage AI and LLM-based techniques to analyze, document, and understand large legacy codebases.
• Reverse-engineer business processes and technical workflows, transforming implicit knowledge into structured technical specifications.
• Design and prototype solutions that transition batch-oriented processes toward service-oriented and event-driven architectures.
• Develop automation tools that accelerate analysis, migration, and validation activities.
• Build automated test frameworks to ensure functional correctness and operational reliability.
• Improve observability through metrics, monitoring, logging, and tracing capabilities.
• Contribute to architecture reviews and technical discussions with senior engineers and software architects.
