Systems Engineer - Automation (Windows/VMware)

Salary: CHF 110'000 - 150'000 per year

Requirements:

• We have excellent command of Windows Server administration.
• We have excellent command of PowerShell, including scripting, modules, APIs, and end-to-end automation.
• We have good command of VMware Aria / vRealize Automation, including vRA, vRO, blueprints, and workflows.
• Knowledge of other Aria suite components is considered an asset.
• We have knowledge of virtualization technologies, especially VMware vSphere.
• We have knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD applied to automation, REST APIs, and system integrations.
• Experience with Azure, Terraform, GIT, and Ansible is considered an asset.
• We have a strong problem-solving mindset and a continuous improvement orientation.
• We are able to work independently in a complex environment.
• We have a strong service orientation and excellent communication skills.
• We have an analytical approach and rigorous documentation practices.
• We are able to provide a criminal record extract if required by law and job requirements.

Responsibilities:

• We design, develop, and maintain advanced PowerShell scripts to automate system administration tasks.
• We deploy, maintain, and optimize VMware Aria / vRealize Automation workflows and blueprints.
• We participate in the administration and evolution of Windows platforms, including Windows Server, Active Directory / ADFS / GPO, and SCCM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager).
• We contribute to the adoption of Infrastructure as Code practices.
• We ensure performance, security, and reliability across virtual and physical infrastructure.
• We collaborate closely with network, security, and development teams to integrate automation solutions across the organization.
• We support industrialization efforts, migrations, and continuous improvement projects.
