Product Line Release Manager Fire Safety
Salary: CHF 90'000 - 120'000 per year
Requirements:
- We require a university degree or higher education in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable field.
- We require 5+ years of experience in release management, product development of embedded systems with engineering tool and IoT edge functionality, preferably within safety-critical or regulated environments.
- Experience in the fire safety industry or related building management systems and services is highly valued.
- We require a proven track record in planning, executing, and delivering complex software and hardware programs on time and within scope, with strong emphasis on regulatory compliance and quality requirements.
- We require a solid understanding of product lifecycle processes, lean agile delivery models, and release governance, with a good grasp of DevOps and software delivery excellence.
- Certifications in Agile (e.g. SAFe, Scrum) or project management are an advantage.
- We require strong ability to manage cross-regional and cross-product dependencies at program level.
- We require proficiency with collaboration and lifecycle tools (e.g. Confluence, IBM JAZZ, Microsoft 365); interest in AI technologies is welcome.
- We require resilience in challenging situations, a well-structured and analytical approach, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- We require full proficiency in English and German.
- Candidates must be legally eligible for work authorization in Switzerland.
Responsibilities:
- We ensure successful execution of releases from concept to launch by coordinating dependencies across multiple releases to deliver on time within scope, budget, and quality targets.
- We develop release plans, including resource and capacity planning, while aligning priorities with key stakeholders such as the Product Line Head, Product Managers, and Agile teams, and ensuring timely resolution of product issues raised by customers.
- We identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact release scope, quality, or timelines, while troubleshooting issues and maintaining contingency plans to ensure project stability and successful delivery.
- We ensure adherence to internal governance, regulatory requirements, and security standards throughout the development process.
- We implement and continuously improve release management processes, while maintaining comprehensive planning documentation such as deployment plans, readiness checklists, and guidelines to ensure smooth and efficient releases.
- We act as the primary interface between the Product Managers and Agile teams, track progress throughout the entire development process, and communicate release status, dependencies, and readiness to stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
- We monitor key performance indicators related to development efficiency, project predictability, and overall quality, while managing the budget and optimizing cost performance to ensure financial and operational effectiveness.
- We support innovation, product strategy, roadmap development, new product launches, and end-of-life planning, while collaborating with product managers and Agile teams to define product requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
